One of the most important aspects of photography is making the client happy! I thrive on delighting my clients and find so much joy in the process of capturing their vision. With that being said, it is always so much fun to express my more creative side by planning and executing an inspiration wedding shoot. I love to collaborate with other vendors and creatives. It is not only a great way to build your brand and find new inspiration but also to make friends in the industry! There is so much goodness that comes from community.
My inspiration for this shoot was geared towards my own personal style. I wanted this shoot to reflect my “brand.” My goal was to give off a beautifully soft, romantic and whimsical vibe. I have always been drawn to The Pepin Mansion’s vintage charm and absolutely fell in love with their outdoor space. I loved the large magnolia tree that reminded me of my childhood weekends spent with my Grandmother. We used to play underneath the tree where she would share stories of mythical and gentle fairies. Her last gift to me before she passed away was adorned with a magnolia flower from her tree. Needless to say, there was no question that I wanted this gorgeous tree featured in my shoot.
The Pepin Mansion’s Event Planner, Stacy & Amy with Merci Bouquet were instrumental in bringing my vision to life. Stacy’s design degree was incredibly helpful when it came to making important decisions regarding colors, textures and everything in between. When we presented our particular ideas to Amy, she executed them FLAWLESSLY! I was fully prepared for the florals and table scape to look slightly different than what I had envisioned in my head but Amy pulled it all together even more beautifully than I had planned. I can not sing her praises enough!
The table scape was certainly enhanced by the beautiful and rustic charm of Southern Classic Rentals farmhouse table and chairs. The owner Drew was also wonderful to work with. So easy going and helpful! I look forward to recommending him to all my brides! I am a firm believer that details can make or break any type of event. I not only encourage my brides to consider details but also plan them out very precisely when hosting my own events. I truly believe that the details bring it all together. This is where Angie with Lime & Lilly Calligraphy came in. She knocked it out of the park with her STUNNING scripted cake backdrop, timeless invitation suite and charming “Welcome” sign.
The star of the show was of course our incredible models, Shelby & Lance. They were not only fun but eager to let me be adventurous with my prompts and posing. Rachel did an amazing job of enhancing Shelby’s natural beauty with her art of hair and makeup. I just LOVED her relaxed, yet romantic choice of up-do. Shelby’s hairstyle perfectly coordinated with the lovely whimsical gown from Laurel Wreath Bridal. I loved how the hair style, makeup and dress complimented the brides beauty instead of taking the focus away from her.
