As a NICU nurse, I have the immense joy of caring for so many sweet babies during their stays at the hospital! It’s safe to say that capturing newborns as a photographer fits naturally with my God-given strengths and passions which is why I was thrilled to document these moments for the Holland family. Neil and Courtney welcomed twins- Haynes and Eli- into the world and thus became a family of four. I was so excited when I walked into the twins nursery because the soft and neutral colors were beautiful and added to the simple sweetness of the special room. The new parents shared such a wonderful bond and the room lit up anytime I prompted them to look at each other- I think you can feel their love in these photographs!
Haynes had a short NICU stay in my unit but I unfortunately did not have the opportunity to care for him. He may be smaller than his sister but is VERY attentive. It was hard to even get him to close his eyes, he watched everything I did with curiousity. Eli is easygoing, beautiful, and so snuggly- unlike her brother, she didn’t have to stay in the NICU so is a bit bigger than him. It was so fun to see the twins different personalities play out throughout the shoot.
As a Louisville newborn photographer, I’m truly honored to be trusted with these precious memories. Years down the road, I know these photographs will be treasured family heirlooms that that fills my heart with inconceivable joy. Congratulations, Holland family!
